2013 GMC Acadia Comes to Chicago

With the 2012 Chicago auto show in full swing, we're taking a look at one surprising release from GMC. Their upcoming 2013 GMC Acadia was a hit with audiences. But what has changed over time?

Ferguson Superstore customers visiting the dealership, located at 1501 N Elm Place Broken Arrow, OK 74012, will appreciate Acadia and Acadia Denali's updated look, with more angular curves, bright head and tail lights, and a fuel economy of 17 MPG city, 24 highway front-wheel-drive, 16 MPG city and 23 highway with all-wheel.

Also new to the vehicle is a 3.6-liter V6 engine, producing upwards of 288 HP when matted to an upgraded six-speed automatic transmission.

"While no restraint technology can address all body regions or all potential injuries, the front center air bag is designed to work with the vehicle's other air bags and safety belts to collectively deliver an even more comprehensive occupant restraint system," Gay Kent, GM executive director of vehicle safety, said.1

Acadia's interior has witnessed major overhauls, including Color Touch Radio, connecting drivers to Bluetooth for hands-free calling. There's also rear-seat entertainment systems and a "Dual SkyScape" sunroof.

It's a full package worth test driving, the question is, will you accept the challenge?

Well, lucky for us, the people at Hagerty Insurance speculate exactly that, and they try to keep things as cheap as possible. More specifically, they make a list of the "10 Future Collector Cars Under $100,000" each year.

This year's list included the usual suspects (i.e., the Camaro, Mustang, and 911), but it also included a couple of surprises. And one of those surprises actually managed to top the list…
