A sportier, faster and more youth friendly version of the Swift, called Suzuki Swift Sport, is headed into production. Based on the recently successful Swift model for 2011, this variant includes a more powerful engine and great design features.

Swift Sport, like the predecessor, has a hatchback with ample amounts of cargo room. Suzuki says its new car has "a more aggressive and dignified exterior look," due to its lower-slung profile. This gives it a "sense of stability and tension," along its wider front grille.¹  

The cabin combines "sportiness with a high-quality look and feel," and design features that the company says will "heighten excitement about the driving experience."²

Higher power and lower fuel consumption for the Swift Sport delivered by the 1.6-liter engine was specifically developed for this model. The engine is mated to another 'model specific' six-speed manual transmission, and results in a performance that the auto maker says is exciting and environmentally responsible.Driver and passenger safety are taken care of thanks to the Swift Sport's impact-absorbing body, seven airbags throughout and electronic stability system.
