Michael Bastian for GMC: Fashion Industry vs. Auto Industry
Award-winning menswear designer Michael Bastian recently revealed to BBC Autos the elements of car design that inspired his current fashion ventures. Both industries, fashion and automotive, Bastian claims, relate to the human body and self-perception, having the power to change, not only how people see themselves, but how others see them, as well. And much of that has to do with instinctual comfort–how we subconsciously want to feel. That’s what the designer needs to tap into. It’s that kind of attention to detail that has built Bastian’s career and GMC’s success.
