Buick Regal GS Tops "10 Future Collector Cars Under $100,000" List

How would like to be 100-percent sure that the next vehicle you're purchasing will someday be a collector's item? That would be pretty nice, right? Well, lucky for us, the people at Hagerty Insurance speculate exactly that, and they try to keep things as cheap as possible. More specifically, they make a list of the "10 Future Collector Cars Under $100,000" each year.

This year's list included the usual suspects (i.e., the Camaro, Mustang, and 911), but it also included a couple of surprises. And one of those surprises actually managed to top the list. It's the 2012 Buick Regal GS trim.

The 2012 Buick Regal GS managed to top the list for three reasons. First, there's its price. With a starting MSRP of $32,535, it's approachable to most drivers. Then there are the specs. It packs a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine under the hood. In terms of performance, that spells 270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. And finally, there's the way it's driven. Buick opted to pair that lauded powerplant with a six-speed manual transmission; a decision that many other performance-driven automakers are shying away from these days.

Combined, these three elements work to create an experience that is truly unrivaled in the automotive world today. Of course, Ferguson Superstore, located at 1501 N Elm Place Broken Arrow, OK 74012, also realizes that this is an opinion that many of you out there would like to come to yourselves. And that's why we invite you to take the 2012 Buick Regal GS for a test drive.
