What is being called a "Mini-MPV" by the auto maker, Suzuki's upcoming Splash hatchback is in no way taking over for the popular Suzuki Swift at Ferguson Superstore in Broken Arrow.
This upright vehicle is a five-door, five seater currently on sale in the UK and Japan. Its 1.2-liter engine aims to lower dangerous emission levels, while raising miles per gallon ratings. It comes matted to either a five spd. manual transmission or six-spd. automatic.
"Out on the road any worries about instability in poor conditions prove to be unfounded" adds Chris Knapman of The Telegraph. "The Splash actually handles rather neatly, with direct steering and plenty of grip. It uses industry standard MacPherson strut front and twist-beam rear, but because the Splash is almost as tall as it is wide, the suspension has been tuned so that the car won't lean too much in corners."1
Hatchback or "5-door" models such as Splash have been popular overseas for years, but are just gaining in popularity throughout the US and Canada.
For now, check out the hatchback version os Suzuki's Swift, updated for 2011 and 2012, at Furguson Superstore.
